The Beginning
The hardwood floor held my back as I stared at the popcorn ceiling, listening to my friend talk about the gospel as a freshman in high school, tucked in a sleeping bag.
I believed in Jesus that night. Barely.
Through the years my faith strengthened—and waned—until brokenness hurled me into the arms of Jesus. He’s always faithful, even when I’m not. Since college, I’ve followed Him through more than 20 years of ministry leadership.
The stories keep growing, His faithfulness keeps showing up.
The Daily
I live on reheated coffee and a secret stash of dark chocolate while waking up before light to love my people well. Three kids (12, 8, and 5) call me mom and the hubs is a discipleship pastor at a church in Indy. We moved here during the pandemic (as if life didn’t already have enough change, ha!)
Somewhere in the margins of our beautiful I write and speak because I am passionate about the gospel and I really believe God is who he says he is.
Other Stuff.
I’m an award-winning writer and blogger, a graduate of Dallas Seminary (2021), and write for various faith-based publications. I am passionate about using words through writing and speaking to equip and encourage others in their relationships with God. Some days it looks like teaching the Word to my group of ladies in room 112 at my church. Other times, I’m tucked in my home office researching Christian leadership or crafting devotions for She Reads Truth. Whether writing or speaking, applying biblical truth in the messiness of life is what I daydream about while stirring taco meat for dinner.
I work with a variety of Christian denominations and hold to conservative Christian doctrine. I practice “In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, charity.” Please contact me if you would like a more detailed statement of faith.
